Terms of Use

This English text is a reference translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the online store (the "Service") operated by Dion International Co., Ltd. (the "Company"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms apply to all relations between the Company and the customer concerning use of the Service. Any individual notices and guidelines that the Company posts on the Service form part of these Terms.

Article 2 (Age restriction)

  1. The Service sells alcoholic beverages and may be used only by persons aged 20 or over.
  2. The Company does not sell alcoholic beverages to persons under 20 years of age. Drinking by persons under 20 is prohibited by law in Japan.
  3. The Company verifies age at the time of order. If an order is found to have been placed by a person under 20 years of age, the Company may cancel that order.
  4. Where a customer allows a dependent under 20 years of age to use a device that the customer owns or manages, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the Service is not used by that person.

Article 3 (Formation of an order)

  1. An offer to purchase is deemed to have been made when the customer completes the purchase procedure on the Service.
  2. The sales contract is formed when the Company sends the customer an order confirmation email.
  3. The Company may cancel an order even after it has been formed if any of the following applies. In such a case the Company will contact the customer at the registered email address.
    • The order is found to have been placed by a person under 20 years of age
    • The Company determines that the order was placed for the purpose of resale
    • The registered information was false or incomplete
    • Stock is insufficient, or another unavoidable reason arises

Article 4 (Prices and shipping)

  1. All prices shown on the Service include consumption tax and shipping.
  2. In principle there are no charges payable by the customer other than the price of the goods. However, an additional shipping charge as set out in Article 6 may apply for delivery to certain areas such as remote islands.
  3. Prices may change without notice. The price applicable to the customer is the price displayed at the time the order is placed.

Article 5 (Purchase quantity limits)

The Company may set a maximum purchase quantity for each product. Orders exceeding that limit may not be accepted, at the Company's discretion.

Article 6 (Delivery)

  1. Delivery is limited to Japan. The Company also delivers to remote islands, but for areas treated as remote-island transfer areas by the carrier (Sagawa Express), the Company may separately charge an additional shipping fee based on the carrier's inter-island transfer fee. The affected areas and billing method are as set out in the Shipping Policy. If the customer does not agree to the additional charge, the order will be cancelled before dispatch and the full amount refunded.
  2. The shipping schedule and the number of days until delivery are as set out in the Shipping Policy.
  3. Requests for a specific delivery date or time may not be accepted, depending on the carrier's operating conditions.
  4. The Company is not liable for delivery delays caused by weather, traffic conditions, carrier circumstances, or any other cause not attributable to the Company.

Article 7 (Returns and refunds)

Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled as set out in the Return and Refund Policy.

Article 9 (Intellectual property)

These may not be reproduced, reposted, altered or distributed without the Company's prior written consent.

Article 10 (Handling of personal information)

The Company handles personal information obtained through use of the Service appropriately and in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company takes all reasonable care regarding the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of the information published on the Service, but does not guarantee it.
  2. Depending on the customer's device and its settings, product colours and appearance may differ from the actual item.
  3. Where a customer suffers loss due to a cause attributable to the Company, the Company's liability is limited to the amount equivalent to the price of the goods in the relevant order. This limitation does not apply where the Company has acted with intent or gross negligence.

Article 12 (Changes to these Terms)

The Company may change these Terms without notice to customers where it deems this necessary. The revised Terms take effect when posted on the Service.
